New policy and procedures – appointment of Attendance Manager – Training to EWO level New way of presenting data – analysed by key middle leaders and senior leaders – leading to timely intervention/support strategies Excellent punctuality to school and lessons supported by all staff throughout the day "Committed to excellence in all we do, we take responsibility for our actions" Mrs Simpson

6 You’ve got to be ‘in it to win it’
Attendance needs to be AT LEAST 95% or above for the whole school year. PA = 90% EWO government (+10%) Arrive in form for 8.45am Exceptional leave of absence guidance available

7 Respect Learner led behaviour for learning with new software (IRIS)
Anti-bullying ambassadors (further training) SHARP system introduced for the website High profile Anti-bullying week in November Pupil voice activities Rewards system called EPRAISE introduced Sharing good news stories via Twitter "Committed to excellence in all we do, we take responsibility for our actions" Mrs Simpson

8 Bullying is rare but it is NOT tolerated…of any kind
We all must report any incidents of suspected bullying immediately to a member of staff Just to remind you that you can report bullying in many ways:- SHARP system on website Talk to a member of staff Ambassadors Anti-bullying week November

9 ‘Expectations’ rather
than rules Behaviour we expect from our students is respectful and polite. Students are given clear choices at all times. Our community is an extension of our school and we treat it as such.

10 Individual responsibility
Awareness of their own approach to learning with the introduction of bronze, silver and gold learners leading to ‘Sandymoor Champions’ Use of IRIS/EPRAISE to improve communication throughout the school and with parents Empowering staff to develop positive behaviour for learning strategies and follow up individually and in newly led year teams "Committed to excellence in all we do, we take responsibility for our actions" Mrs Simpson

13 Be smart – Be ready to learn
Nose studs or any additional piercings are not allowed and students will be asked to remove them No make-up will be accepted. Plain hair accessories in black are acceptable. No patterns, tramlines or extreme hairstyles are permitted. Top buttons on shirts should be fastened and worn with a tie of appropriate length to the waist band.  Shirts tucked in at all times. Shows all of their accolades and rewards (including their invites and the shop) A personal statement page which they build over the years. Homework planner populated by them and staff, including marks and feedback "Committed to excellence in all we do, we take responsibility for our actions" Mrs Simpson

15 For parents Your own home page. HW set / due date overview HW and CW marking overviews with Y or N (we can share more detail too) Points / Accolades Sign children up to clubs Can view their personal page with hobbies/interests etc.
