The Development of a Global AeroNexus TIACA Air Cargo Forum & Exhibition Paris 26 October 2016 Nee-how and xie xie for this opportunity to address such a distinguished group of aviation professionals. I have been asked to discuss how the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport has become a significant part of the global air cargo supply chain. I believe there are 3 reasons for the significance of ANC.

Strategically Connected​ 9.5 Hours from 90% of the Industrialize World The Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is strategically positioned as a Global Hub, connecting major cities in Asia, the United States, and Europe. Anchorage provides the level of international access that a modern business requires to succeed.  Gateway for passengers in and out of the State of Alaska. ANC is the 4th Largest Cargo Airport in the World, 2nd in the U.S. Over 488 Widebody Landings per week. A stop in Anchorage Maximizes Payload to Fuel Ratio 3 runways; over 36M gallons of fuel on site; over 60 wide body parking spots.

4 ANC Goal: To develop ANC from a technical stop into globalized transshipment hub serving domestic and international destinations. To generate long term revenue streams for both the State of Alaska and adjacent communities.

Alaska offers international air carriers unique opportunities to operate a flexible and efficient system of air cargo services On-Line Transfers: No Restrictions Interline To/From US: A foreign flag carrier can carry cargo on domestic US segment (in either direction) if (a) under a US carrier code (e.g., UA) or for a US Indirect air carrier (a freight forwarder) and (b) connection is in Alaska Comingling Non-US Cargo with US Cargo Transferring Non-US cargo in Alaska: No Restrictions Change-of-gauge (including “starburst”)
