1 9th Grade Cooking Final Project
Name Class Period

2 Introduction No budget but tried to use ingredients in the freezer/pantry Brother has nut allergy Weekends are best for cooking but limited to 1 hour prep time Grocery store Used a coupon! Many items on sale

3 Recipe - Dinner Shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta and steamed broccoli Learned how to clean the shrimp Used a steam basket for the broccoli Angel hair cooked very quickly Would double the sauce next time.

4 Mini Quiche ½ package crescent dough 2 slices bacon
2 oz monetary jack cheese 1 scallion 1 egg ¼ cup heavy cream Dash of pepper Dash of salt Pinch of nutmeg Preheat oven to 375. Unroll crescent dough carefully. Cut in half, lengthwise, and share with next kitchen. Spray 6 muffin cups with cooking spray. Using biscuit cutter or inverted cup, cut dough into 5 round pieces slightly larger than the muffin cups. Use scraps to form the 6th round piece of dough. Place each round into the muffin pan, so that the dough forms a cup. Shred cheese and sprinkle evenly on the bottom of the dough in the muffin pan. Twist bacon and place on plate. Cook on high for 2 minutes in the microwave. Place bacon on paper towel to blot excess grease. Cut up bacon into little pieces and place on top of cheese in the 6 baking cups. Clean scallion and slice thinly. Sprinkle over bacon. Thoroughly mix cream, egg, pepper, salt, and nutmeg. Place about 1 T. of mixture over the other ingredients in each cup. Bake for about minutes.
