4. JINR School physics teachers program
18 one week “schools for teachers” (including 3 planned for 2016) at JINR and CERN starting 2009, one is happening right now at Dubna, one scheduled for next week
Online application/selection/preparation process, ~1200 teachers registered to apply
~450 from 9 countries actually participated
Lectures from scientists, visits to experimental sites
Post-event online teachers community maintained by JINR UC staff
School materials available online ( individual videos got hits

5. JINR School summer students program
Now its third year
2014: a pilot. Plan was to have 10 students, got 30 applications, 8 participated for 4-8 weeks working in research groups, travel and accomodations covered, real salary paid
2015: switching to “production” mode. 30 planned, got 300+ new registrations, 120+ fully completed applications, 32 participants, 1 student at Dubna CMS group
2016: stable run, 200+ applications, 40 students selected for participation
Off-program benefits: database of 700 interested students
90 JINR scientists registered as potential advisers.

6. CMS Virtual Visit
Usual scenario: 2 Russain-speaking guides and 2 helpers magicians located at CMS surface hall at LHC, 1-4 locations in Russia connected via online video ( participants)
Organized 5 VVs since last year, connecting:
high schools
popular science lectoriums
School teachers program
All-russian school “olimpics” on experimental physics
RosAtom informational centers

9. CMS masterclasses Part of international physics masterclasses program
Initially meant for high-school and university students, tried with 12-years old, works fine
participants are OK
Layout:
Introductory lecture on collider experiments, detectors and particle identification
Event analysis by participants:
PC-based version: 3D model of event and detector
PC-free version: printed cards with deffevrent projections of event
Final mass distributions (with sticky notes)

Successfully tried with 12 y.o. kids and uni students
213 cards with 3d view and projections:
3+10 higgs to leptons and photons
50 Z to electrons and muons
50 W to electrons and muons
Removed unneeded objects (jets, tracks)
Fixed some colors compare to original

Nuclear industry information center (NIIC) is a non-profit organization with the purpose of raising the awareness in the field of nuclear energy and promoting science

Invited LHC-experiment participants to their center for after VV discussion
Also one masterclass session at high school (MEPhI liceum)
Idea for next year: scale masterclasses using NIIC infrastructure and school physics teachers prepared within JINR teachers program
