Bud & Burgers Contest Objective: Determine the 2015 Bud & Burger Champion to serve as a Budweiser brand ambassador and generate awareness and excitement for the Budweiser brand. Promoted: Influencers (food bloggers) were used to promote the contest, social network posting, and the contest was also promoted at each of the regional events. Chef David Chang was a judge for the championship event. Promotion Duration: Two months Mechanics: Consumers visited to submit a photo and essay or video describing their burger and why they deserve to be the 2015 Bud & Burger Champion. Entries could also be uploaded to Twitter or Instagram and needed to and use the hashtags #BudandBurgers and #Contest. Two Regional Finalists were selected to compete at onsite cook off competitions, where they prepared/served their burgers for attendees who voted via text to determine the National Finalist. The 10 National Finalists attended the Bud & Burgers Championship in St. Louis, MO, where they again prepared/served their burger. Attendees voted via text to determine three Grand Prize Finalists. Official judges scored the three Grand Prize Finalists’ burgers to determine the Grand Prize winner. Prize: $100,000 Grand Prize, (10) Finalist trip prizes and (20) Semi Finalist trip prizes Results: Hundreds of entries were received for each method of entry
