2 NYC Times Square Press Event 1,000 costumed Powerball characters descend on New York’s Times Square and stage one of the most unique, fun and highly energetic flash mobs in history. After the flash mob, the characters announce to the world the new & improved Powerball game. Re-launch Ideas QSR Promotional Partnership Similar to the McDonald's infamous Monopoly promotion, Powerball launches a nationwide promotion with a Quick Service chain to award fun & exciting prizes… and cash prizes…up to $1,000,000! Customer receives a specially designed scratch- off (or, pull tab-style) game piece with their Powerball-themed menu item purchase. QSR will contribute food/drink items for instant win prizes. Super Bowl Consideration - a promotion with a national Pizza delivery chain could model a “Golden Egg” type where special codes are placed on pizza boxes. Customers will go to a special website to enter code and check for winning number. Cash prizes, including a top prize of $1,000,000.

3 Web-based “Play for Fun” Promotion A national video game played on the internet. The creative concept could be a Treasure Hunt where gamers from across the country compete to win “street credits” and, where permissible, trips to the 2013 NFL Super Bowl. The hunt may include visits to each Lottery’s website for game clues. This concept provides a national platform and appeals to a broad adult demographic. A fun, competitive, interactive game. Re-launch Ideas National TV Commercial Contest Grab the camera, and let’s make a commercial! Filmmakers and want-to-be- filmmakers are welcome to submit their self-created and produced :30 second Powerball TV commercial. Modeled after Pepsi & Doritos Super Bowl ad competition, the winning spot will air in each lottery market during the broadcast of the Super Bowl on February 5, 2012. Judged by a national committee comprised of lottery ad agencies, the top five contenders will be placed on a devoted microsite where viewers can vote and share their favorites through Facebook and Twitter.

4 TV Partnerships Brand placement partnership marketing is a vital component to most Reality TV shows. The Powerball name should be explored as a co-branded product to create special content for broadcast. Partners may include: HGTV or Extreme Home Makeover – Powerball gives away a home or kitchen make-over. National Morning Talk Shows – For four (4) consecutive weeks, Powerball announces a $5,000 scholarship winner each weekday in February. Scholarship criteria to be determined. The announcement becomes a daily segment in the TV broadcast in each Powerball state. Re-launch Ideas Second-Chance Weekly Drawings Players will go on line and enter their non-winning Powerball ticket to win awesome prizes! Including: Home or Kitchen Makeover! Vacations! Cruises! Cars! i-pads! Electronics! and other high demand promotional items. Entries via the Powerball (or the local lottery) website. Two weekly winners announced during televised drawing.
