Introduction to ACS Seminar 2017
ACS is the association of six classification societies headquartered in Asia namely BKI (Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia), CCS (China Classification Society), ClassNK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai), IRS (Indian Register of Shipping), KR (Korean Register) and VR (Vietnam Register).
ACS (Association of Asian Classification Societies) organizes regular technical seminars in the Asian region. In this year, the ACS Seminar on Shipping and Shipbuilding will be held on August 29, 2017 at Vung Tau in Vietnam.
The Seminar will focus on safety and environmental topics and recent international regulatory developments relating to shipping and shipbuilding, which will bring together members of the Asian maritime community and regional maritime professionals.
Speakers from the member societies of ACS, including Chairman and members of ACS Technical Management Group (TMG) and Working Groups (WG), and the invited guest speakers from the various maritime organizations in Asia will cover a wide range of topics such as:

- Green Ship Technology & Regulations
- Asian Maritime Trend and Strategy
