Carrying capacity- largest number of individuals that can survive over long periods of time in a given environment Limiting factors- Some aspect of the environment that limits a populations growth. Examples: Temperature, Space, Food, Light, Water, Predators

Today we will… 8. 11(C)  explore how short- and long-term environmental changes affect organisms and traits in subsequent populations; and 8. 11(D)  recognize human dependence on ocean systems and explain how human activities such as runoff, artificial reefs, or use of resources have modified these systems.

9 Lab Each group will begin with 8 goldfish Round 1- Go fishing!!!

Must leave at least one fish Teacher will give you one fish for everyone you have left Example: If you have 6, will get 6 more! If you go over 16 fish, then will not be able to fish that round. Teacher will take extra fish away
