truth is probably very different.
It is more likely that…
Groups, like the Latins, settled along the Tiber river in 1000 B.C.
In 600 B.C. Greek settlers established several cities
Macedonia took over the region and spread Greek ideas  Rome eventually took over.

13. Regardless of how Rome was founded, thank goodness for the contributions of the Ancient Romans!

14. Intro to the Roman Republic
Roman Civilization developed over a long period of time  It began as a republic but ultimately became an empire ruled by an emperor.
This empire grew as a result of its military prowess and was maintained by the common language of Latin, strong leaders, and a vast system of roads.
At its height, the Roman Empire expanded into Europe, Asia and Africa, spreading not only its political control, but its culture.
