2 Lesson 1 – Canada’s Land Canada is the largest country in north America *Canada has very tall, jagged mountain's in the east * Canada can be divided into 6 regions. * The leaf of the maple tree is Canada national symbol.

3 Lesson 2- Early Canada- Native peoples lived on the land for many years before Europeans arrived. Moving West- In 1885 workers finished building a railroad called the Canadian-Pacific Railway. In 1999 the territory of Nurvot became part of Canada. Canada becomes a nation, Canada is divided into ten provinces and three territorries

4 Lesson 3- *Canada’s government is based in Ottawa ,the capital city.*The flag of Canada shows the leaf of the maple tree that became official in 1965.*The supreme court building is in Ottawa .*1931 Canada can make its own laws for the first time in history.

5 Canada at work Lesson4 In the 1600s, boats and canoes carried people and goods across Canada’s lakes and rivers. Railroads connect cities and towns. The Trans-Canada highway carries goods across the country, from the east to the west coast. Other highway extend south and connect cities in Canada and the United States Plants along the Niagara Rivers creat electricity Since Canadian farmers grow more wheat than the country needs, they export the extra wheat to other countryes.

6 Lesson 5 Toronto has the largest population. More than half of Montreal’s citizens have French ancestors. The oldest part is called the old city . The streets are paved with small stones.
