Ecclesiastes 3:10 I know the heavy burdens that God has laid on us.

we thank him for new beginnings –
we thank him for the earth and all its inhabitants;
we thank him that we have found our space in the creation (the earth) that we can call home –
we thank him that he is above time and space,
that He knows the future

God was not trap in the sad situation of the people of Judah in Babylonia He saw the bigger picture – He saw the future.
Jeremiah 29:5 Build houses and settled down. Plant gardens and eat what you grow in them.
6 Marry and have children. Then let you children get married, so that they also may have children. You must increase in numbers and not decrease.
7 Work for the good of the cities where I have made you go as prisoners. Pray to me on their behalf, because if they are prosperous, you will be prosperous too.
