We are probably best known for our high stakes Certifications – the Certified in Production and Inventory Management, or CPIM, and the Certified Supply Chain Professional, or CSCP. APICS Mission Fostering the advancement of end-to-end supply chain management through a body of knowledge, innovative research, systems, and methods to create value for customers, members, and organizations Why CLTD? First and foremost, this new certification helps to advance APICS’ mission: to foster the advancement of end-to-end supply chain management. The merger with the American Society of Transportation and Logistics, or AST&L, gave us the “raw materials,” if you will, to expand into the Logistics area of the supply chain, and helps us better serve our current members and attract new members. Finally, just as we did with CPIM and Operations Management and CSCP and Supply Chain Management, we want to elevate the awareness, professionalism, knowledge and skills of Logistics, Transportation and Distribution practitioners.

5 APICS CLTD: Exam Specification

You can get more information in the Exam Content Manual, or ECM, is available in Shop APICS for purchase and the free Preview of the ECM is available at apics.org/ecm-previews. The ECM will be available free to purchasers of the CLTD Learning System, but some people will want to review it before the Learning System is available and purchase it now. If you do decide to purchase a single copy of the ECM, we recommend you purchase the digital version – we call it an eDownload – because shipping a single book is more expensive than you might expect! 6 APICS CLTD: Eligibility Requirements
Apply to take the APICS CLTD exam To earn your APICS CLTD designation, you must pass one comprehensive exam. Prior to taking the exam, you must be eligible. Eligibility applications must be received two weeks prior to the day you register for the exams. To be eligible for the APICS CLTD designation, you must have: 3 years of related business experience or Bachelor’s degree or the international equivalent*, or CTL, CSCP, CPIM, CFPIM, CIRM, SCOR-P, C.P.M., CSM or CPSM designations *APICS defines the international equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree as the level of study that would qualify an individual for a graduate program in the country where the undergraduate degree was earned. There are eligibility requirements for the new CLTD Certification. They match the eligibility requirements for CSCP: 3 years of related business experience OR Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent Or one of the listed certification designations.

Purchase your Learning System early in July; purchase the Authorization to Test (ATT) before October 1, 2016 and set up your exam before December 31, 2016, in order to take advantage of the promotion that includes both a discount and the free retake. Step 2 – Study for the exam – form study groups or study independently. Step 3 – Take the CLTD Exam. Step 4 – Take the exam and celebrate you success! You will know if you passed by Dec 31, 2016.
