How the Vitality Program Works
Accumulate Vitality Points: Earn Vitality Points by completing simple health-related activities Earn a Vitality Status: Each year, your client’s status level will be determined based on the number of points they accumulate Enjoy Savings and Rewards: The higher your client’s Vitality Status the more your clients can earn in potential premium savings and rewards So how does the savings work? As you saw in the customer experience journey, its easy to participate Customers earn Vitality points by completing simple health related activities and each year their Vitality status changes based on the number of points accumulated. The higher the status the greater the savings and rewards.

Each year, members can earn Vitality Points for everyday things like: Walking, exercising, going to the doctor or even getting a flu shot Based on the number of points they accumulate, your clients will earn a Vitality Status – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum Clients can earn points by doing a variety of things – not just exercising – they will earn points for having an annual check up at the doctors or even going to the dentist or getting a flu shot. They do not have to athletes!

John Hancock Term with Vitality provides Competitive pricing plus the opportunity to lower premiums even further INITIAL PREMIUM SAVINGS WITH JOHN HANCOCK TERM WITH VITALITY Male, 45, Preferred Non Smoker, Term 20 JH Term with Vitality is a separate product that gives the customer access to Vitality and an opportunity to lower premiums. The annual fixed premium adjustments are based on the customer’s level of engagement. After the first policy year, premiums will adjust based on the Vitality Status achieved by the life insured. Premiums remain level if a Gold status is achieved Premiums increase if a status of Bronze or Silver is achieved Premiums decrease if a Platinum status is achieved.

Bronze Silver New Gold Years 6+ Gold But what happens if the customer does not get to or maintain their Gold Status? In this scenario we are assuming the client only gets to Silver and maintains Silver status for the first 5 years, then they start doing more of the activities required to increase their vitality points and their status goes to Gold. Because the level premium is set to Gold, premiums would have stepped up slightly each year for the first 5 years until the client reached Gold status, at which point the premiums would decrease to slightly above the original Gold premium and remain level provide the customer’s status remains at Gold. Platinum The data shown is taken from an illustration. After the first year, premiums for John Hancock Term with Vitality are not guaranteed because they will adjust annually based on a Life Insured’s participation in the program and the Vitality Status they achieve. Not all benefits and values are guaranteed.

LifeTrack is an industry-first policy management solution that helps clients stay on track to meet their insurance goals Works to motivate clients to save money or earn more income when combined with the John Hancock Vitality Program Each year, LifeTrack Premium Notices are adjusted based on actual policy performance and future assumptions Clients receive annual personalized communications so they will always understand the amount they need to pay There are three simple tools of engagement with Vitality. Once the policy is issued: Enclosed with each client’s policy find instructions and a web key to help encouraging clients to login to the member website at Clients must then complete an online Vitality Health Review (VHR) that identifies and provides them with a Vitality AgeTM VHR asks simple health and lifestyle questions (VHR includes biometrics from underwriting which are automatically uploaded) After they complete their VHR, we’ll send them a free Fitbit device There are three simple tools of engagement with Vitality. Half-price hotel stays at any Hyatt hotel worldwide 20% to 50% on all Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Yachts of Seabourn, and Azamara Cruises The higher the Vitality Status, the more nights can be purchased in a given year Clients can earn half-priced hotel nights at any Hyatt hotel worldwide. The higher the Vitality Status, the more nights can be purchased in a given year Clients can set sail with discounted cruises from 20% to 50% on all Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity, Crystal, Azamara and Seabourn cruise lines. The higher the Vitality status the larger the cruise discount and more nights can be purchased in a given year. John Hancock Term with Vitality policies with face amounts below $2,000,000 are not eligible for these rewards. These rewards and discounts are not available in New York.

Vitality HealthyFood Benefit
With our new HealthyFood benefit, clients can save up to $600 a year – $50 a month – on their qualified healthy food purchases. There are more than 16,000 participating stores nationwide, including Walmart and 70 NutriSavingsTM grocery chains. Clients can also earn Vitality Points with every purchase they make, leading to greater premium savings and rewards. The HealthyFood benefit is available to your clients on qualified purchases during their first program year regardless of their Vitality Status. In subsequent program years, HealthyFood discounts are only available if they achieve a Gold or Platinum Status. They will, however, continue to accumulate Vitality Points for their healthy food purchases no matter what their Vitality Status.

And tracking points is easy too through the use of electronic engagement through the Vitality app or member website. And members can stay engaged through fun rewards games on the application or website as well
