1 Operations Start-up Manager
Purpose Set-up an operation from scratch in a new country or environment. In charge of the general management and the commercial activities of the Dufry shops, and accountable for the retail standards within the area to start-up company according to Group standards with the help of group teams & local relationships. Category Manager Key Accountabilities Operations Supervise constructions and shop setup as per technical department plans as per deadlines Define all commercial criteria to be applied in the shops (Lay out, Pricing, Promotions, Category selection…) in coordination with Marketing and Category Management Ensure that decisions and recommendations from BU are applied in shops Ensure that shops are run in accordance with legal rules and technical specifications as safety regulations Ensure that all staff and material are present in accordance with the activities requirements Set-up IT and POS infrastructures in shops and back-office to ensure a correct level of reporting from shops Guarantee the correct implementation of processes in general Setup warehouse and logistics department to ensure proper stocks and supply chain Guarantee a fluid logistics organization and delivery of shops Implement all necessary actions to ensure that objectives are met within set Business Plan Ensure the coordination with the airport authorities and other authorities People Set-up organization and departments as per Group standards and in-line with the Business Plan Ensure recruitment of new teams members and liaise with Regional HR, according to Business Plan and organization guidelines Ensure proper training of newly integrated teams according to Dufry Global training programs Finance Make sure all investments and CAPEX are done in accordance with Business Plan guidelines and liaise with Regional Finance Participate in the implementation of the investment plan and act as local facilitator to avoid issues during set-up phase Customer Promote Dufry as a brand inside shops and ensure that a high standard of customer service is implemented Scope Retail Operations Location Region 1 – Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia – BU Asia Specific Requirements Fluent English, additional languages as applicable for Area Position in Organization Key Relationships DCOO BU Commercial Manager BU Marketing Manager BU Category Manager BU Logistics Manager Regional IT-HR-Finance Managers Group Technical Department Global Retail Operations Airport and other local authorities Local Partner Measures Customers People Operations Finance Targets as per Corporate Performance Appraisal and MBO Policies.
