How to use a seven-step evaluation system to determine the accuracy and reliability of Internet information sources. How to use a rubric to rate website information.

3 Evaluating Internet Sources by Asking the Following Questions:
What is the focus, or point of the site? What evidence did you find to support the claims made by the author(s)? How could you tell, by quickly looking over the website, whether it was accurate and reliable?

5 Seven-Step Evaluation System
1) Know your purpose. 2) Double-Check your facts and sources. 3) Consider the source. 4) Evaluate the look and content of a site. 5) Consider the intended audience. 6) Evaluate the writing. 7) Compare content with what you already know.

6 Use a Rubric Standards: what do excellent, average, not acceptable look like? A rubric is a chart that contains criteria designed to evaluate specific information. Components to be evaluated.
