3 System Goals Reduce the administrative burden placed on Local Education Agencies (LEAs) when applying for grant funding. Increase transparency of grant activities to ensure funds are spent in accordance with federal and state guidelines. One project that will consolidate the planning and application process to reduce duplication of information across the state. CCIP Training Module 1

7 Accessing CCIP In order to edit or approve applications in the system you must have a valid NCID user account. In addition, you must contact your district CCIP administrator (historically, the Title I Funding Application contact) and provide your NCID user ID so they can give you the appropriate access (role) in CCIP. Public Access: The application allows anyone to visit the site and view Approved applications. Please remember that you must have a valid NCID user ID and be given the appropriate access to make edits, start budget revisions, and make submissions for approval. Once the system is in Production, please create a shortcut link or add a favorite to the CCIP application in your own browser: CCIP Training Module 1

8 NCCCIP Sign In Click the NCCCIP Sign In button at the bottom left of the CCIP home page. CCIP Training Module 1

9 NCCCIP Sign In Enter your NCID User ID and NCID Password and click Submit. Having a valid NCID does not automatically gain you entry into CCIP, you must be assigned a role in CCIP CCIP Training Module 1

10 Home Screen Once signed in, the application populates the system with your associated LEA. CCIP Training Module 1

11 Create User User Access Administrators Only:
Click Administer, then User Access from the left hand menu. CCIP Training Module 1

12 Create User The User Access page allows you to modify roles for existing users and create new users. To create a new user click the Create User link. CCIP Training Module 1

13 Create User Enter all appropriate information and click the Create button. CCIP Training Module 1

14 New User The new user will receive a confirmation once their login has been added to the system. CCIP Training Module 1

15 Administer Roles A user that has been assigned no roles is considered inactive. You can never delete a user, just delete the roles associated with them. Click the Create Role link to provide system access to the selected user. CCIP Training Module 1

16 Administer Roles Make sure the appropriate district and role is selected and click the Create button. Please see role descriptions on next slide. CCIP Training Module 1

17 CCIP Roles Role Name Description User Access Administrator
Allows the user to create, update, and delete users/roles for an organization. This role does not give the user any access to edit the Funding Application or Planning Tool. Data View Allows the user to view unapproved Funding Applications for an organization. This would be an appropriate role for the Homeless Liaison. Data Entry Allows the user to edit the Funding Application for an organization. Planning Tool Data Entry Allows the user to edit the Active Plan for an organization. Treasurer Allows the user to mark an application Treasurer approved. Also, this role inherits all permissions from the Data Entry role. Superintendent Allows the user to mark an application Superintendent approved. Also, this role inherits all permissions from the Data Entry role. CCIP Training Module 1

18 Administer Roles Once a role has been added you will be redirected to the Administer Roles page, displaying all of the selected user’s roles. To remove a role, click the trash can icon directly right of the role. To add additional roles, repeat steps from previous slides. CCIP Training Module 1

19 Modify Existing User To modify an existing user, fill in at least one of the search criteria boxes, and click the Search button. To modify one of the search results click on the Edit link under the Administer Roles column next to the appropriate user. CCIP Training Module 1

20 Activity Create a new user account and assign roles
Log into the system with your NCID credentials. If not provided at time of registration, default format is firstname_lastname. Create a new CCIP user. For NCID use “Yourname_test” ex: “JohnDoe_test”. (FYI - the Training database does NOT validate against NCID) Use your actual address Assign the user the roles of Data Entry & Treasurer Search for your new user through the User Access screen and delete their role of Treasurer. CCIP Training Module 1
