3. Copy Strategy The Planning Tool Strategy copy feature allows Organizations to copy strategies between goals and fiscal years. Navigate to the Strategy you would like to copy by expanding the Goal (clicking on the + to the left of the Click Copy CCIP Training Module 33

4. Select the appropriate fiscal year and goal you would like to copy the strategy to Click the Copy button The strategy will get copied to the bottom of the selected goal by default; you may reorder them later CCIP Training Module 3 Copy Strategy 4

5. Copy Action Step The Planning Tool Action Step copy features allow users to copy Action Steps across fiscal years, Goals, and Strategies. Navigate to the Action Step you would like to copy Click the Copy button CCIP Training Module 35

6. Copy Action Step Select the appropriate fiscal year, Goal, and Strategy Click the Copy Button The Action Step will get copied to the bottom of the list by default; you can reorder later CCIP Training Module 36

7. Deleting Goals Deleting a Goal in the Planning Tool will delete all of its child elements. This includes any fiscal resources, strategies, and action steps in the Organization- and School-level plans. Funding Applications that reference it may be rendered invalid. Once this information is removed it will not be retrievable. Navigate to the Planning Tool and locate the goal you would like to remove Click the trash can icon to the left of the Goal title CCIP Training Module 37

8. Deleting Goals You will be redirected to the confirmation screen where it will display all the items that will be removed Click the delete button to complete the process CCIP Training Module 38

9. Archived Plans Once the Funding Application is approved, at each Revision level, the system will take a snapshot of the current plan. CCIP Training Module 39

11. Planning Tool Print So that you don’t need to inform the public how to use CCIP, you can post the plan to your website after “printing” it (produces a PDF file) From the Planning Tool home page, click Organization Plan CCIP Training Module 311

12. Planning Tool Print Locate and click the Print link at the bottom of the Plan Overview page. A PDF File will be generated and launched in a separate window. CCIP Training Module 312

13. Address Book The address book link on the left hand menu is visible by both logged in users and public users. One of the contacts on this page is for the Planning Tool. Click on the Planning Tool link to update the contact information. The person must have a CCIP account to appear in list. CCIP Training Module 313

Activity – Copy Planning Tool Items 1.Log into the system with your NCID credentials. 2.Navigate to your Organization’s planning tool. 3.Click on ‘Make a copy…’ and confirm. 4.You can edit the Needs Assessment, or any other items. 5.Create a new Goal. 6.Copy a Strategy into the new Goal. 7.Copy an action step into the new Strategy. 8.Make the active plan public.
