Components of the D-Cerno System
Central Unit with Recording (can be ordered without recording) Systems are built on four elements, Central Unit, Chairman Conference Unit, Delegate Conference Unit & Cat5e shielded interconnection cables: - The central unit can control and power a total of 50 units over the (4) available communication/power ports. - With the addition of (2) more CUs, the system can expand up to 150 units. - Each communication/power port chain can power up to 25 units - Max cable length 1,300 ft. Delegate Chairman Cat-5e Shielded Cabling

Delegate Conference Unit (Microphone)
Speak Headset Volume Headset Jack Speaker Fixed Microphone LED Status Light Delegate Units provide microphone and speaker and come in a sort and long microphone versions. - D-Cerno D 12in Microphone - D-Cerno DL 20in Microphone Built in speaker creates a personal listening environment, a headphone output with level control, unit is activated using a pressure sensitive “Speak” button, LED status indication on microphone and base unit show who is speaking and who is in the queue.

Chairman Conference Unit
Speak Headset Volume Headset Jack Speaker Fixed Microphone LED Status Light Chairman Next Control Chairman Exclusive Control Chairman unit provide microphone and speaker and comes in a sort and long microphone version. - D-Cerno C 12in Microphone - D-Cerno CL 20in Microphone Like the Delegate the chairman has built in speaker, a headphone output with level control, it is activated using a pressure sensitive “Speak” button, LED status indication on microphone and base unit indicate who is speaking and who is in the request queue. In addition a Chairman has control of the delegate microphones using; - Priority button to talk over open microphones or be used to turn off all open microphones - Next button used in the request mode to activate microphone in the order that the request was made.

Central Unit – D-Cerno CUR
All of the buttons in the D-Cerno System use touch sensor technology. System Power button. System Volume Control. (4) Menu Buttons. - Start Recording Button (CU-R only) - Stop Recording Button (CU-R only) Recording Playback Button. (CU-R only) - Locking External Power Supply Connection - (4) RJ45 ports for connecting the conference units (up to 25 units per chain and 50 max per CU). - Green LEDs indicate unit connection with no error. - Yellow LEDs indicate no unit connection or errors on the chain. (2) RJ45 ports for connecting additional CUs in a Master / Slave configuration. (1) TCP/IP port for connection and use of the Webserver with browser configuration control. (2) Unbalanced RCA audio output connectors to extract the floor audio. - Green LEDs light up when audio is present (> -40dBv). (1) Unbalanced RCA input connector for adding audio to the floor. (1) Balanced XLR input connector for adding audio to the floor. - Red LEDs light up when there is an overload of the input signal (> +9BV). - (1) 3.5mm headphone connection for monitoring the floor audio. - (2) USB ports for digitally recording the floor audio onto a thumb drive or other USB device.
8
Signal Redundancy
Conference units connect using a Cat5e daisy chain or loop. A single daisy chain of the units is the typical method of installation. All units work great as long as the cables have not been damaged. But…
9
Signal Redundancy
BUT, if you have a cable problem, of course the microphones after that point will not work.
10
Signal Redundancy
Now, If you use the loop configuration, and something happens to a cable, all the microphones will continue to operate perfectly.
11
Recording A Meeting Stop Record Play
Plug the USB drive into either port for recording. (file is named using a date & time stamp. File setup and management is done using the browser menu) System has two USB ports on the front left side of the Central Unit. This provides the ability for recording to move from drive #1 to drive #2 when drive #1 is full. Files are automatically created with each new session using a date/time file name. The default recording format is MP3 but this can be changed to a Wave file format. All set up and file management is provided through the browser control.
