Additional Standards for
CareerTech/ Comprehensive Secondary Schools
OAC 210: (a) (3) The technology center guidance staff coordinates services with guidance and counseling staff from partner schools, higher education institutions, and other agencies through planned informational meetings, correspondence, and /or other communications.
(c) The sending school guidance program shall complement and coordinate with those services available in the technology center counseling, assessment, staff consulting, educational and occupational planning, and follow-up activities.

8. SB 1269 – College and Career Endorsement
A student may earn a college and career endorsement by satisfying the curriculum requirements in any of the following categories:
STEM,
Business and industry,
Public services,
Arts and humanities,
Multidisciplinary studies, or
Any other area of study as determined by the State Board of Education
SDE, ODCTE, OSRHE will specify the curriculum requirements for each endorsement. CareerTech courses can qualify (SBE discretion)

9. AIM Act of 2016 (HS 2535)
Creates the Apprenticeships, Internships, and Mentorships (AIM) Act of 2016.
Authorizes the governing body of each public, private, magnet, charter, or virtual school to enter into an agreement with private or public organizations for the purpose of creating apprenticeships, internship, and mentorship programs for high school juniors and seniors beginning in the school year.
