2 HIPEN Membership is by Organisation
Established in 2007 at a Meeting in Kremnica, Slovakia of 5 Organisations who had previously worked together in EC Projects An Association registered in France under their law of 1st of July 1901 and the Order in Council of 16th of August 1901 Bank Account in France

3 HIPEN In 2016, there are 13 Members from 10 Countries, covering all aspects and ages of Lifelong Learning: Czech Republic Finland France Norway Poland Romania Serbia Slovakia Slovenia UK

5 Functions of Networks Functions of Networks
Networks tackle challenges jointly faced by Members Networks enable coordinated action which is often lacking. Functions of Networks Networks create synergy between - activities Institutions members with common objectives Networks increase the effectiveness of learning provision, and contribute to quality assurance. 6 HIPEN How We Work We Exchange – Explore – Decide – Develop
General Meetings: Twice a Year (May & October) May: Members Exchange and Explore issues of common interest and begin process of Decision October: These Issues are Developed as Transnational Project Proposals, each led by a Member. Members take part as they chose.

7 HIPEN For example: May 2016 Meeting in Angers: Blue Sky Thinking about – Supporting Students with Cochlear Implants Teaching Languages Vocational Training student (and professional) exchanges October 2016 Meeting in Ljubljana: Proposal Work Groups Vocational Training Teaching Mother Language at Primary and Secondary Schools ‘Our Languages are from the same Root’: focus on Slavic Language HIPEN Junior Year 4: Focus on History

ProDeafToolKit: Training Package for Deaf Awareness of Public Services and Employers HIPEN Junior: 3 Annual Projects to date for deaf students to meet and experience different cultures. Oldinc: Oral Language Development for Inclusion (for 0 to 6 year old children and their families) SensAge Teaching English to Deaf Students

Sharing knowledge which is available in the Networks by creating and sharing a Knowledge Base Providing courses and training for professionals who work with people with a sensory impairment Providing a platform for exploiting and disseminating results of EC funded projects Controlling the quality of the training programmes A Virtual Academy …… Cheaper than travelling!
