5 History For three generations the Maculan family has been selecting and vinifying the best grapes in Breganze Fausto Maculan became active in his family’s winery at a very young age, and took over operations in the 1970s Designed by Fausto Maculan himself, the new winery is one of the most stunning small wineries in Italy, an amazing mixture of ingenuity and style.

6 History Long-held family traditions are respected: from using specially selected vineyards and the careful selection of the bunches of grapes, to aging in new, small oak barrels and conserving the grapes on racks for the production of Torcolato. Thanks to his commitment, Fausto Maculan has received numerous accolades from the world’s most esteemed wine critics, particularly for the outstanding Acininobili, Dindarello and Torcolato, always at the forefront of any discussion of dessert wines.

7 History In 2007, Angela and Maria Vittoria, Fausto’s daughters, officially joined Maculan’s operations; Angela travels the world to represent the winery and Maria Vittoria graduated from the Oenological and Viticulture Science University of Padua to follow in her father’s winemaking footsteps
