To ensure performance, damper should be validated/tested by reputable 3rd party to an industry-accepted performance standard
AMCA Standard 500-D; Laboratory Method of Testing Dampers for Rating. This is the only standard associated with 3rd party testing of round dampers.
There are no applicable design standards for fiberglass dampers; AMCA provides such a standard to help ensure consistent quality and performance.
Swartwout round fiberglass dampers models 912 and 914 are licensed to bear the AMCA seal. (Visit AMCA.org to search for AMCA listed products)

Premium Vinyl Ester Resin; for WWTP applications (Odor Control)
Corrosion barrier- not less than 100 mils thick with additional surfacing veils based on corrosion resistance requirements; per ASTM C582-87
Resistance to Chemicals (performed to ASTM ).
Offers Flame Spread Rating of 25 or less.
Pultruded axles (vinyl ester) or 316SS
Seals; EPDM or Viton are best for WWTP applications
