28 Subject names and numbers
Shelf number Find the right shelf! Books are organized by Universal Decimal Classification – it means by subjects and to every subject accords a certain number combination. The same system is used in most libraries over the world. You can see big labels on shelves with subject names and numbers. Within one subject books are sorted by languages. There are 3 language groups – first there are books in Estonian, then in foreign languages in Latin alphabet and then in Cyrillic alphabet. Within one language group books are in alphabetical order. Subject names and numbers

29 Call number Every book has a sticker with call number on the cover.

30 E-resources portal PRIMO
To find e-books or scientific articles, go to e-resources portal PRIMO. The portal enables to make a combined search among numerous databases provided by the library. With a simple search you will usually find too many results and you need to refine your search. You can do it by resource type and topic in the menu on the left side or use advanced search. To find only scientific articles, limit your search to peer-reviewed journals. When you have found an interesting book or article, just click on the title and you will see in which database is it available.

31 See you in Library! If you have questions or you need help, ask our friendly librarians! I hope to see you soon in our library!
