2 AusAID Scholarships Australia Awards Scholarships
(formerly Australian Development Scholarships) Australia Awards Leadership Program (formerly Australian Leadership Awards) ACIAR Scholarships (Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research) Co-funded by AusAID; must be existing collaboration in Australia Australia Awards Fellowships (short-term awards to enable candidates from eligible countries to spend a short time in Australia for study, research or professional development) University of Adelaide

Available in over 90 countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Pacific and South Asia Aim to build knowledge and human capacity in priority areas established for each country/region Mainly fund postgraduate coursework studies (Masters), but undergraduate studies and HDR studies are also funded in some countries for qualified candidates Targeted/open categories Largest scholarship programs: Indonesia (500), Vietnam (250), PNG (130), Philippines (120) University of Adelaide

Priority Areas Vary for each country/region, but generally can include areas such as health, education, rural development, governance, public policy, economics, environment, TESOL, water and sanitation, food security, natural resource management, mining, climate change University of Adelaide

2013 PILOT PROGRAM: INDONESIA Split-site programs, using existing joint Masters degrees established by Australian universities with a partner university in Indonesia 3 Australian universities involved – Curtin (17 students), ANU (10 Students) and the University of Adelaide (16 students) - with 23 Indonesian Government agencies One year spent in Indonesia and one year in Australia Indonesian component funded by an Indonesian government agency, Australian component funded by AusAID University of Adelaide

9 WORLD BANK SPIRIT SCHOLARSHIPS
Available in Indonesia only, for building staff capacity in various Indonesian government ministries and agencies Funds Masters or PhD studies at an overseas university ranked in the top 400 universities in the world (THES or QS) MINISTRY OF FINANCE Law, finance, economics, accounting, public administration, management BAPPENAS Law, politics, environmental science & engineering, economics, public policy, agricultural economics, international relations, education, psychology, planning Two types of program funded - Linkages program ( for joint degrees, part in Indonesia and part overseas), or full program overseas University of Adelaide
