3 Services Continued Comply with State, Federal, and Regulatory Agency Standards Coordinate over 34 Health Plan Audits Annually Participate in Joint Commission Surveys AAAHC Survey (Vaden) Assist with Data Management via MSOW SOM, GME, Managed Care, Provider Enrollment, Referring Services Apogee Implementation (3/16) – Managed Care & Provider Enrollment Tracking MSOW Considered Provider Source of Truth Maintain Credentialed Provider Information Database Feeds – Approx. 34 Clinical Systems (i.e., EPIC, Tapestry--04/16, Marketing) Strict Data Entry Guidelines for Data Integrity More Involvement Organization-Wide as Technology Implemented

MSSD Notified of New Applicant via New App Request Form Medical Staff Services Account Monitored Daily Reduces Likelihood of Missing Requests Applicant is Sent Application Link 10 Day Turnaround Time – Withdrawn if not Submitted 5 Day Notice to Applicant and Department Requests for Additional Time to Complete Noted in File and Kept Open Missing Items Report Available to Departments

5 Within 24 hours of receiving New App Request Form – Applicant is ed instructions on how to access their electronic application and complete it.

11 Credentialing/Privileging
Receive Application and Privilege Form (if applicable) Import New Applications First, Daily then Reappointments Turnaround Time 35 Days. During High Volume Turnaround Increases – Constantly Prioritizing (start dates, new files) Managed Care, Provider Enrollment, EPIC Team Alerted to Initiate Processes Faculty Appointment Expected to be in Process Already Send Peer References, Education, and Verification Letters Collect Information As Returned Review Responses Obtain Clarification as Needed Send Follow-up Requests to Missing Items Weekly or Biweekly 100% Internal Quality Audit (QA) Conducted Coordinator Collects Information Based on QA Report or Routes for Approvals Submit File for Review/Approval Files Presented to In Person Credentials for Items Leadership has categorized as Category II Approvals Obtained Weekly or More Often in Summer

Start Process Early – January Two Part Process “Regular” Credentialing Occurring During this Timeframe Notification Sent to Program Directors via GME Office to Verify Education No Single Source (i.e., Report, Feed) to Verify Completion Program Directors Respond to MSSD with Final Verification on Completion Date (Local and Out of State)

13 High Volume Season Approval Process Additional Meetings
Rely on Program Director Response - GME Sent March w/ Instruction Service Chief Response – to be Sent in April Credentials and Medical Executive Committee Response – Committee Aware of Dates Board of Directors Response – Requested Additional Board Meetings Temporary Privileges or Final Approval Issued Depending on Board Approval Additional Meetings Annually, additional meetings are scheduled to accommodate onboarding. Up to three meetings a week if possible. MSSD Processes Files Upon Approval Notify Departments (including IS for Access) Upon Approval If Faculty Appointment Not Received, Provider’s Membership is Approved and Privileges are Not Released until Appointment Received (tied to Malpractice Insurance)
