1 St. Matthews Primary School “FRIENDSHIP” Thankfulness SCHOOL VALUES
This week we have talked about: “FRIENDSHIP” Thankfulness 18 May, 17 AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS TUESDAY to 4.15pm Drama and Craft Class 1 TUESDAY TO 4.15pm Ultimate Frizbee Class 2 THURSDAY 3.15 to 4pm Sports Club. AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS WILL BE ON THE FIRST WEEK AFTER HALF TERM Afterschool clubs cost £1 each VISIT TO TINY TOWN Class 1 and pre-school children had a lovely morning at Tiny Town in Carlisle yesterday. Reduced price vouchers for Class 1 children are being sent home with this newsletter. Thanks to everyone who supported Our Race for Life. We raised £110 for this very worthy cause. FRENCH TEACHER Our French teacher is doing a project on families, it would be good if class 2 children could bring some family photos into school to help with the project. If photos aren’t available please encourage your children to draw a picture. TENNIS COACH On Monday 5th June all pupils will need their PE kit as we have a coach coming into school to teach all the children Tennis. SAINSBURYS ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS The Sainsburys Active kids promotion has now finished, if anyone has any vouchers please send them into school as soon as possible in order for us to submit our claim for free sports equipment. Many thanks HALF TERM School closes as 3.15pm tomorrow for the half term holiday. We reopen on Monday 5th June at 8.45am.

Y5 and Y6 children are going to St Michael’s School at Bothel to showcase the work that they did with the IT the programming experts they worked with last week. THURSDAY 8th JUNE Y6 children are taking part in a Triathlon competition at Keswick. LONDON RESIDENTIAL Children and staff are getting excited as the trip to London draws near. We will be leaving on Friday 9th June and return on Monday 12 June.
