SMC GD 64 syllabus says – “Imaging for design 3 units Transfer: CSU. Using Adobe Photoshop, this computer class teaches students how to scan, manipulate and enhance digital images for graphic reproduction and use on the web. InDesign is another industry-lead page design and layout toolset that will let create, preflight and publish everything from printed books and brochures to digital magazines, iPad apps, eBooks and Interactive online documents.

5 Common Sense Digital Citizenship will involve paper and pencil with lots of group discussion and your personal input into discussions will determine how much you learn from this module. With Google sites, I will walk you through creating an academic website/electronic portfolio or give you a packet to follow through if you prefer reading. With Adobe Creative suite applications, we will take control of your own learning by reading and implementing the instructions from a packet for Adobe Acrobat, illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign CS6. With illustrator, you will design a logo, a favicon, fashion textile, a T-shirt. With Photoshop, you will scan, correct and enhance a photo, reproduce a flyer, a painting, create an illusion and an album cover and with inDesign, you will design a business card, a post card, letterhead and an envelope and a web blog.
