No More Guilt

Proverbs 17:22 22. A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. NLT: A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.

Proverbs 15:13 13. A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Psalm 103:1-5 1. Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3. Who forgives all your iniquities (SINS), Who heals all your diseases, 4. Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5. Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Hebrews 8:10, 12 10. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people… 12. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.

Hebrews 10:1-4 1. For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

Hebrews 10:12, 14 12. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 14. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Hebrews 10:17-18 17. Then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18. Now where there is remission of these there is no longer an offering for sin. Remission – “Aphesis”: A sending away, a letting go, a release, pardon, complete forgiveness, deliverance.

Isaiah 6:1-4 1. It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. 2 Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3 They were calling out to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!” 4 Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.

Isaiah 6:5-7 5 Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. 7 He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.”

Zechariah 3:1-4 Then the angel showed me Jeshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord. The Accuser, Satan, was there at the angel’s right hand, making accusations against Jeshua. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, “I, the Lord, reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from the fire.” 3 Jeshua’s clothing was filthy as he stood there before the angel. 4 So the angel said to the others standing there, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And turning to Jeshua he said, “See, I have taken away your sins, and now I am giving you these fine new clothes.”

Matthew 9:2-6 2. Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” 3. And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, “This Man blasphemes!” 4. But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? 5. For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you, or to say, Arise and walk’? 6. But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins” –then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

Hebrews 10:19-22 19. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20. By a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21. And having a High Priest over the house of God, 22. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from and evil conscious and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 4:16 16. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Romans 8:31-34 31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. 35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love?
