2 CanTeen We’re here for 12-25 year olds dealing with:
Having cancer themselves A parent, brother or sister being diagnosed with cancer The death of a parent, brother or sister We provide: Face to face and online counselling Support groups CAMPS! The reason I’m here

3 CanTeen Camps 21,000 young people have a parent diagnosed with cancer
1,000 young people find out their brother or sister has cancer

4 Cancer can be Traumatic
Direct threat to life, invasive treatments Death of parent, death of sibling PTSD rates between 5 and 16% of cancer survivors (Stein, 2008). Studies have found significant levels of posttraumatic stress symptoms among siblings and offspring(Aldefer, Labay & Kazak, 2003; Boelen & Spuij, 2013).
