38He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?
39Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”
40When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet.
41And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42They gave him a piece of broiled fish,
43and he took it and ate it in their presence.

Spirit and mind are all that matter. Escape from this corrupted world.
Matter is all that matters. Enjoy this world, because you only go around once.
Hebrew, Jewish understanding was God made the world good, people corrupted it, but God will redeem people and the creation in order to dwell in it with people.

Jesus, the Word, became flesh. Isn’t that what we just celebrated? John 1:1, 14
He altered the history of the world through His flesh and bones by taking on flesh and bones.
Jesus was fully man with a body before and after resurrection (Touch me, it is I myself, see my hands…)
He is Lord and the search has ended. John 5:39

We are not made for a non-corporeal existence.
Jesus has a resurrected flesh and bone body. He can be touched, he eats, he speaks with words they can hear with their ears.
Jesus is the “first fruits” 1 Cor 15:20.
We will have a new flesh and bones body like His.
We won’t miss out on anything.
We will dwell with Him, with flesh and bones as we ourselves

Rev 21:1–7 1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

God redeems and intervenes through our flesh and bones.
Esther, Cornelius (Acts 10), Isaiah (Isaiah 6)
Jesus is fully man and fully God with a body right now
He intercedes for us. Heb 7:25
He can and does helps us. Heb 4:15
We can know Him, and be known by Him, because He is a real person.

Consider that He submitted His flesh and bones to destruction that we could have our flesh and bones resurrected.
Read the Bible looking for Jesus Christ fulfilling all that is written. We have the privilege to read the New Testament together in the coming months. If you have never read the whole New Testament, DO IT! If you have read it before, DO IT AGAIN!
