10. Roanoke (#2) Raleigh tries again, leader is John White, 115 people
Planned to restart the colony on the Chesapeake Bay (VA)
For some reason returned to original site and reestablished colony.
Hostilities with natives continued.
White went back to England for reinforcements
Spanish Armada starts towards England
Upon their return the colonists were gone completely, homes were dismantled and only one word bore.

Theory 1- Drought caused them to move to different location. Evidence- study of tree ring around Roanoke, worst drought in 800 years Theory 2- Absorbed into the Croatoan natives Evidence Tuscarora, blonde hair blue eyes, tribe spoke English and had homes made of stone walls (Dare Stone)
