5 INTRODUCTION Money Transfer means transferring money from one part of the globe to another. Money Transfer is the safe , easiest & fastest way of transferring personal funds from abroad to India. Only personal remittances such as payments towards family maintenance and remittances favoring foreign tourists visiting India are permissible

6 RBI GUIDELINES FOR MONEY TRANSFER
Only person-to-person remittances are permissible under the Money Transfer Service Scheme. Any single remittance under the scheme shall not exceed USD 2500 or its equivalent in other currencies. Only 30 Transactions per beneficiary are permitted in a calendar year. Cash transaction is restricted upto Rs only. Above Rs is credited through a/c Cheque or NEFT. Beneficiary having more than one transfer for total above Rs is eligible only single cash payout and other on a/c Cheque or NEFT .

7 RBI Guidelines…… There is no cash payout limit for foreigners/foreign passport holders in India. Investments or credit to NRE accounts or donations/contributions to charitable Organizations are not permitted through money transfer scheme. Payments are made against proper identification/ KYC completion.

8 Guidelines… PROCESS FLOW ON CONFIRMATION OF A MONEY TRANSFER Collect details such as secret no, sender name and Expecting amount from receiver including money receive form duly filled by customer of respective service provider. Transaction should confirm & block in the respective agency site. If Branches fails to get confirmation / blocking transaction advise to contact Head office specifying reason for failure. Head office will guide for necessary action. Branches should collect blocking confirmation number from HO for remote locking transaction. Entry the same in our system Money Transfer Module immediately . For the NEFT Customers: * Add/Update NEFT Details in the New Customer Module after that Entry the same in our system Money Transfer Module.

9 Proof of identity can be any one of the following: Passport Adhar Card
KYC & Its Guidelines… Proof of identity can be any one of the following: Passport Adhar Card Voters Identity card Driving License Telephone bill/statement of Bank account/ Electricity bill/Ration Card/letter from any recognized Public Authority/letter from employer to the satisfaction of the Branch Head.(Please refer Circular No:3830 and 4448) c) Maintain and Preserve the records of “Receive now” forms and beneficiaries photo ID proof at the Branch location for a minimum period of 10 years from the date of transaction.

10 Important Messages …. If any service providers site issue, clear immediately or inform HO. All Branches/ Areas leaders must “ update money transfer working condition “ in dotnet lite module properly. Service providers user name & password. don’t keep in system , its written in specified diary or book confidentially. If any installation /system format / damage in MTSS system please inform HO priorly.

13 Documents to be collected for money transfer
Name of the customer: The name of the customer should be similar as in the presented ID proof and Address Proof. Address and phone number of the customer: Both the present and permanent address of the customer should be recorded and both mobile number and the land line number has to be mentioned Name of the sender: The sender address has to be mentioned in the column for sender details.

14 Documents to be collected for money transfer
Place of the sender: Place of the sender should be clearly mentioned at he time of inward transfer. Amount expected: expected amount to be received. Secret number Collect number from receiver ID proof with photo along with valid expiry date: only document to be taken from the customers.

15 Documentary….. Get the application form completely filled up by the customer Confirm the payout (only after verification of the above said documents). Pass necessary accounting entries using money transfer module in dot net. Cash/cheque /NEFT to be paid to the customer.

82 Circular NO. 5135 Customer must be physically present at the location and should produce his/her original id proofs for verification. The photo of the customer shall be captured in the system each time the customer comes in for a transaction. All documents (id proof, address proof, application form, to receive form and any other supporting document) collected from the beneficiary should be self attested/ signed by the beneficiary for each transaction.

Circular NO. 5135 DO NOT process the transaction if the beneficiary does not provide the necessary details, mainly, secret code or transaction reference number, estimated amount, sender¿s name, sender¿s country and valid Id. DO NOT process the transaction if the MT is for purpose of investment/ charity/ donations/ trust etc. or for commercial transactions and if the transaction is being entered into by business entities or organizations, other than individuals DO NOT accept blurred/ illegible Ids. DO NOT accept photocopy of id, without verifying original id. If photocopy is illegible insist on clear photocopy of the id.

MONEY GRAM ERROR REASON WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO? AC 343 Agent does not have the correct Delta Works version to do this transaction. You need to upgrade to a latest version of the software so do the Transmit option in the Module. AC403 /AC 419 POS is de-authorized. This error occurs mainly when a location has been logged out of the software. Do file transmit to avoid such an error and Call Money Gram call center /8333 AC405 Unable to lookup initial profile. The error means you have put on the wrong device id Please re-check the ID & Password. AC706 with code 4 Transaction is on hold Call Money Gram call center /8333 transaction may be blocked for some compliance purpose Unable to check in with host I/O exception ws2.moneygram.com Check your network connections, make sure internet is working fine Contact your local IT team for support AC301 Transaction exceeds the payout limit Inform your Super agent and call up the call centre /8333 and process the transaction with the call centres assistance. AC-503/507 Set up password failure/wrong password Check the correct password
