3. Why Interior Design by JB?
Interior Designs by JB follows the THREE (3) E’s
EEE
You will notice that Interior Design by JB is one of only a few Interior Design companies on the East Coast.
You will find multiple Interior Decorating companies… why is that? And are they the same?
Education
Accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation
4 year college degree
Required for most ALL state licensing
Experience
Our employees have more than 10 years experience
Each designer has their own supervisor which will approve all designs
Examination
NCIDQ National Council for Interior Design Qualifications
These are NOT the same.
Decorating is one aspect of designing and it deals with the aesthetic embellishment of spaces. Basically, making things look nice.
Designing deals with a much more comprehensive approach that is all about human behavior and human interaction.
Most (if not all) decorators do not have a college degree and cannot be licensed in states with legislation laws.
Remember this: You don’t need a college degree to decorate.
