4 Finances and Timelines
Current Timeline: November 2017 – 4.75 mill operating renewal (up to 5 years or continuing) January 2018 – 0.88 mill bond issue expires 12/31/2017 November 2018 Potential for new money Operating (two-thirds; up to 5 years or continuing) – millage is controlling, revenue is variable Emergency (simple majority; any period up to 10 years) – funding is controlling, millage is variable Permanent Improvement (up to 5 years or continuing) – for property asset or improvements with an estimated useful life of 5 years or more. Bond Issue with additional Permanent Improvement Income Tax – can be combined with property tax levies November 2019 Potential for new money – per above November 2020 – 7.9 mill operating renewal (must be 5 years or continuing) November 2021 – 9.97 mill operating renewal (must be 5 years or continuing)

6 Huber Heights City Schools
Huber Heights City Schools – a little larger district, but a lot of similarities in Master Plan and project size Wayne HS – new HS for 1,679 students This is a relatively traditional building but because of the 2 level pod classroom layout surrounding interior courtyards, it does not feel like a traditional double loaded corridor building.  Large recessed student commons/dining Central kitchen in this building serves the entire school district Weisenborn JHS for grades 7-8 – 949 students 2 story classroom pod layout with extended learning areas that serve clusters of 5 classrooms

19 Piqua City Schools Piqua City Schools New 4-6 Building – 900 students 3 story classroom wing No traditional media center in this building. The media center space was distributed between all 3 floors as a central discovery space and information hub Each floor also includes 2 additional ELA’s for small groups

Princeton City Schools New HS - 1,800 students HS is part of a large HS/MS complex Not an OSFC project Classrooms have movable glass walls (Nanawalls), very expensive Very little built in furnishings; almost everything is mobile Interior colors are school colors and very subdued as requested by owner

Milan Schools – Milan, Michigan Milan Center for Innovative Studies The project is an addition to the existing HS, approximately 23,000 sf Project-based focus in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and HuB (Humanities and Business) Students learn through inquiry, critical thinking and problem solving Overall space has a very high tech feel
