Introduction University and College Teaching is a suite of nine online courses that will help provide all levels of teaching staff with the skills they need to effectively plan and deliver compelling courses. The programme can support university teaching staff throughout their careers and includes assignments that can contribute towards a teaching portfolio and potential accreditation. This programme helps teaching staff structure content more effectively to increase student engagement, helps staff choose the best learning resources for their students and create a supportive learning environment to help guide discussion – in class or online. The courses can help increase the quality and efficiency of marking and also aids staff in designing courses with clear learning outcomes and appropriate assessment activities. 12 Learning outcomes By completing this programme, teaching staff will understand how to: Implement new strategies for planning and delivering effective teaching through course design, lectures, discussions and one-to-one supervisions. Improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of their marking and feedback to students. Reflect, critique and identify strategies to develop their teaching, including the production of a teaching portfolio.
