Recommendation BE IT RESOLVED THAT Report 2017-CAO-003, “Ontario Provincial Police Costing Analysis”, be received, THAT Council for the Town of Deep River recognizes that the projected Ontario Provincial Police costs over the next 10 year period to provide policing to the Town of Deep River would result in substantial net annual savings, THAT an Open House be advertised and hosted by Town staff in conjunction with the Ontario Provincial Police on March 29th, 30th, and 31st, 2017 to engage the community, provide details relating to the OPP Proposal and collect feedback from residents relating to the future of policing services in the Town of Deep River, and THAT staff report back to Council with a final recommendation relating to the future of policing the Town of Deep River at a Special Council Meeting to be called by the Head of Council in May, or at the May 2017 Regular Council Meeting at the latest.
