History  The first "day of Thanksgiving" actually took place at Berkeley Hundred, Virginia ,USA in 1619  It started from few of migrants shifting from England to USA a year earlier. They did not have enough food ,many of them died in 1st winter. Local people taught them to grow local crops Next year when they had good crops , at the time of harvest they has a feast ,where local people also joined. They thanked local people for food & teaching them The locals also brought turkey, duck, fish, deer, berries etc to the feast. That is how this tradition started. Free Science Videos for Kids
