2. Obtaining legal status in the Czech Republic
Becoming legal in the Czech Republic as a Non-EU citizen you need to obtain a long stay visa
The long stay visa can be issued for the following purposes:
Employment - work visa you need a work permit or a green/blue social insurance card
Business - establish a CZ company or arrange for the trade license
Family reunification - family member or a spouse is legal in CZ or is an EU citizen
Study - a document on enrolment to studies
Other
A long-term visa (over 90 days) application can be filed at a Czech Embassy abroad , application fee is CZK (usualy), application processing deadline is 90 days.
The application filing does not entitle you to be legal in the Czech Republic
Application Requirements:
Application form, passport, photos, purpose of stay document, proof of finance, medical insurance, accommodation confirmation, criminal background check with apostile/superlegalisation
All documents submitted for any visa applications must be filed in originals, not older than 180 days, superlegalized and translated into Czech by a certified translator.

3. Trade license process in the Czech republic
For applying for the „Trade License, you will need: 1) Consent with the business address (signed by the owner of the property – simply signature) or get the virtual address for aprox CZK/ 6 months
2) Extract from the register of the ownership of the property
3) Criminal history background check with an apostile (superlegalisation) translated by a certified translator to the Czech language.
4) A photocopy of your information page of your passport To get the Trade license takes a week to get once you apply for it.
This document is issued just for the visa purpose. It is not possible to use it to start the business (you need to get the visa firts to activate your trade license).

4. Process of the long term visa with the business purpose
VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:         - passport (validation at least for another 9 months, issued within last 10 years, two blank consecutive pages)    - 2 passport photos EU size!!   - application form - bank account statement with the balance of CZK (cca USD) in original issued by your bank with a stamp and signature , translated into Czech by a certified translator   - Trade license   - Accommodation confirmation (with notarized signature of the owner/owners)  - Criminal history background check again (with the apostile/superlegalisation and translated by the certified translator) - Visa fee at the embassy EUR  (or CZK) - Once visa is issued: Health insurance in the length of the visa (12 months) - to be shown once you pick up the visa. The cost is 7400 CZK - AXA insurance. Has to be international medical insurance recognized by the Czech embassy and the insurance company must be authorized to provide health insurance in the Czech Republic  
- if you have stayed in other country for longer than 6 months in the last 3 years, you should bring the criminal check from this country (the criminal check shouldn´t be older 6 months while applying for the visa).

5. Where to apply?
You can apply at the Czech embassy in your home country or at the country where you have a long term residency permit. You can apply at any Czech embassy out of CR (Berlin, Vienna, Bratislava, ....) in case you are from these countries: Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahama, Barbados, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region, Israel, Japan, Macao, Special Administrative Region, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Republic of Korea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Salvador, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, USA, Vatican, Venezuela, Taiwan, Uruguay. The application process takes up to 90 days but mostly is issued within days. You have to apply and pick it up at the same embassy.

6. Once the visa is issued
You receive a message about the visa approval by
First you should get the health insurance and pick up your visa
After you receive your long term visa you have to:
a) register with Foreign Police (with your long term visa status) b) show your visa at the Trade license office (to activate your Trade license) c) register with social and financial office and pay the social insurance in the amount of CZK each month.

7. Remember! To pay the Social insurance each month
If you want to renew your visa you have to show your regular income as a freelancer
Submit the taxes every following year (for the year 2016 you should submit taxes in April 2017 the latest)
