6 Goal Setting Top-level athletes, successful business-people and achievers in all fields all set goals. Setting goals gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation . It focuses your acquisition of knowledge, and helps you to organize your time and your resources so that you can make the very most of your life. Scouts are more likely to achieve the end result if you work with them to set goals. 9 Store Front Sales We would like to thank both Reasor’s and Bass Pro Shops for their support of the Scouting Community. Not only are they featured on this year’s Camp Card, but also allowing Scouts to sell in front of 19 Reasor’s locations and at Bass Pro Shops in Broken Arrow. As a partnership agreement all storefront sales for these two (2) business must be scheduled by ing Paige at Scheduling on your own could jeopardize future sale opportunities in the future for popcorn and camp cards. Please also follow times that you have signed up. Questions regarding this or can’t remember your times? Contact Paige at No matter what store you choose to partner with keep in mind that you represent the BSA and bad behavior or not following store policies could result in lost partnerships for everyone.

10 Advancement/ Skills Boy Scouts can earn the Salesmanship Merit Badge!
Skills learned through Camp Card sales follow a Scout throughout life. We are all selling something everyday through school, work & life whether it be selling ourselves in a job interview, selling an idea to your teacher or boss, to selling products in the workforce. Sell Camp Cards to not only earn your way in Scouting, but use for life skills!

11 Tips for selling Be mentally and physically prepared
Be sure your mind and body are ready. Stay hydrated. Eat something you like. Before beginning the sales day, do something that makes you feel energized and happy!

12 Make a Great 1st Impression
Make sure your uniform is in tiptop shape when making a sale. Be extremely observant- if somebody’s wearing a team sport [jersey or T-shirt], talk about that first. Any conversations that you can have with somebody is a great start. It’s going to be really hard to say no to buying if they are engaged with you. Be first to engage! Don’t sit back behind a table- be out front moving and talking to people Use “Sir” or “Ma’am” when addressing customers

13 Make a Great 2nd Impression
First impressions only get you so far. Be ready to answer any objections, and know your product (in our case your card). Know your goals and be able to explain that to your customers – people are even more likely to buy if you have explained what you are using the money for and can articulate it.

14 Have FUN & Say Thank You! Don’t turn selling into a chore.
Help your Scouts out by setting hourly goals/ friendly competitions/ special prizes or incentives within your unit, etc. Always say THANK YOU to everyone, even if they don’t buy.
