1 Biblical Church History
Following the Hand of God and the Hand of Satan

2 (1Th 2:13) For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

3 (2Pe 1:20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(2Pe 1:21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

5 It is the movement of God through history to accomplish his 3 fold plan for the earth and universe, the Nation of Israel, and for your Life. It is also the movement of Satan to counter, counterfeit, and confound the 3 fold plan of God

6 DO YOU HAVE AN ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY?

7 What is the Strategy Satan uses?

8 1st He tries to get her to question God’s Word
2nd He changes God’s Word 3rd He reinterpreted God’s Word HIS APPROACH WAS RELIGION!

9 What is the Strategy Satan uses?
How does this apply to Us and Church History?

10 to bring doubt, to change, and to reinterpret the Word of God
So while tracing Church History we must be looking for Men, Movements and Institutions that are to bring doubt, to change, and to reinterpret the Word of God

11 (2Co 2:11) Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

12 What is the Strategy Satan uses?
How does this apply to Us and Church History? Tracing the strategy of Satan in the Old Testament

13 (Jer 23:30-32) Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD..

17 THE AVERAGE STATEMENT OF FAITH BY THE FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES AND BIBLE COLLEGES IN AMERICA TODAY
We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation of God, and thus the sixty-six book of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the plenary (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God. We teach that the Word of God is an objective, propositional revelation, verbally inspired in every word, absolutely inerrant in the original manuscripts, infallible and God-breathed.

18 1. If the Bible was only inspired in the Originals, then where are the originals ?
2. If we don’t have the originals then is what we are reading not inspired

19 (2Ti 3:15) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

20 (Luk 4:16-21) And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

23 THE OTHER STATEMENT OF FAITH BY THE FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES AND BIBLE COLLEGES IN AMERICA TODAY
We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation of God, and thus the sixty-six book of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the plenary (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God. We teach that the Word of God is an objective, propositional revelation, verbally inspired in every word, absolutely inerrant in the original languages, infallible and God-breathed.

24 THE AVERAGE CHRISTIAN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION “WHERE IS THE INSPIRED, INERRANT INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD TODAY?” “The Word of God has been preserved in the original languages, but it is impossible for you to have a those actual literal inspired words in English… because in translating from one language to another it is impossible to have a word for word translation.”

25 The Bible Answer

26 TRANSLATING JOSEPH, HIS BRETHREN AND THE INTERPRETER
(Gen 42:23) And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.

27 (2Pe 1:20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(2Pe 1:21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

28 TRANSLATING MOSES AND PHARAOH
(Exo 8:9) And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?

29 TRANSLATING PAUL AND LUKE
(Act 21:39-40) But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people. And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,

30 TRANSLATING DANIEL AND NEBUCHADNEZZAR
(Dan 2:26-27) The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof? Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;

31 TRANSLATING JONAH AND THE WORKS AT NINEVEH
(Jon 3:2) Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

32 TRANSLATING JESUS AND THE GOSPEL
(Joh 1:47) Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! (Joh 1:48) Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

33 INSPIRATION COMPARED TO PRESERVATION

34 AND BLANK SHEET OF PAPER
Inspiration GOD MAN AND BLANK SHEET OF PAPER

35 (2Pe 1:20-21) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

36 GOD MAN THE WORDS GOD HAS ALREADY WRITTEN AND BLANK SHEET OF PAPER
PRESERVATION GOD MAN THE WORDS GOD HAS ALREADY WRITTEN AND BLANK SHEET OF PAPER

37 (Psa 12:6-7) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Mat 24:35) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

38 (Psa 119:89) For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
CHRISTIAN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION “WHERE IS THE INSPIRED, INERRANT INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD TODAY?” The Actual Words of God are Preserved in Heaven (Psa 119:89) For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

39 (Mat 4:4) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

40 Did God ever intend for us to have an inspired, infallible inerrant Word in our Hands?

41 The Bible Answer

42 (Neh 9:5)… Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise. (Act 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

43 (Mat 6:9) After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
(Lev 22:32) Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,

44 (Php 2:9-11) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

45 (Psa 138:2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

46 B. The Word Incarnated

47 (Joh 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
(Joh 1:14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

48 (Psa 16:10) For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (Act 13:36-37) For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

49 (Psa 12:6-7) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Luk 21:33) Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

50 (1Pe 1:23-25) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

51 (Psa 119:160) Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. (Isa 40:8) The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. (Joh 10:35) If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

52 Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
