1 Why We Love To Sing!!!!! Ephesians 5: 19

2 Why Do We Sing In Worship In Worship?
Purpose of Singing: Singing is a means of teaching Singing is a means of encouragement or admonition. Singing is a means of expressing joy. Singing is a means of communion with God. Singing is a means of obeying the Scriptures. Question Why We in the Lord’s Church Do Not Use Instrumental Music In Worship? Does Such A “little thing” like a piano, guitar, or drums really matter to God? It was Used In The Old Testament?

3 Question 1 – Does It Really Matter Why We In The Lords Church Do Not Use Instrumental Worship: #1 – There is NO Command to use it. #2 – There is NO Example of it in Christian Worship when the Church was first established. Question 2: Does such a “little thing” like instrumental music really matter to God. In three strategic places (near the beginning of the Bible, near the middle of the Bible, and the near the end of the Bible, God warns of the danger of tampering with his commandments Deuteronomy 4: 2 – “you shall not add to the word which I command you nor take from it, that you keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.” Proverbs 30:6 – “Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you found a liar.” Revelations 22: “For I testify to everyone who hears the word of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life. From the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” So The Question “Does It Really Matters.” In Leviticus 10: 1 – the “little matter” of fire from an unauthorized source condemned two nephews of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu. Fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 1 Samuel 13: – the “little matter” of a few sheep and good intentions condemned King Saul in the matter concerning God’s command for HIM to utterly destroy all of the Amalekites. He was rejected from being King of Israel.” 2 John 9 – “Whosoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

4 Music is a generic term and Singing is a Specific term
Question??? – Were Musical Instruments used in the Old Testament? The Correct Biblical Answer is “YES”, they were used in the Old Testament. The word “Music” appears 17 times in the Old Testament, the word “Instruments” appear 45 times in the Old Testament, the word “Cymbals” appears 16 times in the Old Testament. Animal sacrifices and burning of incense were used in the Old Testament. The fact that these were used in the Old Testament does not justify their use in the New Testament. Colossians 2: 14 – “Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross Hebrews 10: 9-10 – “Then He said, behold, I have come to do your will, O God, He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews 7: 12 – “For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.” We are under Grace & Truth (John 1: 17) (Christ) ………….Not Moses We are under Grace & Truth (John 1: 17 (Christ) ………….Not David Christ Has All Authority – Matthew 28: 18 “And Jesus came and Spoke to them and said, all authority and power is given unto me in heaven and earth”.
