18. FIEO NORTHERN REGION INITIATIVES FOR THE BENEFIT OF EXPORTERS IN NORTHERN REGION
1. For the First time interacted with International  institutions like 1Google, IKEA, Walmart, etc
for business opportunities for our members.
2. For the First time, FIEO organised a meeting with U.S. Ambassador.
3. FIEO organised an Interactive Meeting with High Commissioner of Pakistan.
4. Reached exporters in new clusters like Mahilabad Srinagar, Khurja, Pali, Rudrapur, etc for
export promotion & membership.
5. For promotion of FIEO brand image & membership in NR, interacted with important associations/ chamber  like ACHA (Delhi), GCCI (Gurgaon), JKEDI (Srinagar), PEA (Panipat), IIA(Noida) & others.

40. FIEO NORTHERN REGION Suggestions
Creation of desk of Resource persons / Consultants providing special inputs to exporters from time to time.
FIEO may tie-up/sign MOU with chambers/ associations in important cities so that FIEO can participate / tie-up in their activities & exhibitions.
For example tie up with FOREX in their handicraft fair & NSIC in their Vendor Development Programmes will help in mobilising membership with their participants.
FIEO may give ads in local newspapers at DAVP rates to mobilize membership & participation in our programmes.
FIEO should have understanding with important chambers to give publicize FIEO in their trade journals & FIEO do vice versa.
FIEO may organise programmes on International Trade at new places & clusters.
Like FIEO’s presence in MOC, there should be FIEO presence in various meetings held by MEA., MOF, etc This will not only help us to develop close rapport with ministry officials but also help us to get information and participation with visiting delegations/VIP’s, etc

41. FIEO NORTHERN REGION Suggestions
FIEO may consider jointly organising programmes with FICCI, ASSOCHAM, etc with high profile visits of Foreign delegates including VIP’s in India.
FIEO should form committees / sub-committees on subjects like Market Research, Services, Overseas Exhibition, Taxation, etc . The number of members of in these committees should not be limited. The objective is to involve FIEO members for specialized inputs/suggestions in these areas.
To develop FIEO brochure & focusing FIEO member products / activities in local language, displaying at offices of Jt.DGFT & chambers offices, etc in important cities for FIEO branding and mobilising in events.
Tie-up with Credit Rating agencies/banks/Foreign Exchange providers, etc. to give discount to FIEO members, whenever FIEO members avail their services.
