Service Provider Zain, in collaboration with Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU) and Global Learning, launched “Cloud Campus”- an online social media based learning campus. The service includes both online learning and online support for students. Zain demonstrated the “Cloud Campus” online learning service at Mobile World Congress on February 26, Zain plays the role of a channel partner for Cloud Campus and provides billing support, while Cloud Campus provides the back-end platforms to support the service. The users can choose the pace, the level and the depth they want to work at. The partnership leverages Zain’s capabilities in billing to add value to both Cloud Campus and its own customers. Zain’s aim is to meet its social responsibilities through a service that can also deliver economic value at an affordable price. After a month’s free subscription, Zain’s customers pay a flat monthly fee for access to the service. Service Success Metrics Zain has not published any specific financial information for Cloud Campus. However, it is the first social online learning platform in Middle East and appeals strongly to Zain’s corporate social responsibility priorities to support education and learning. It has strengthened Zain’s brand value and customer perception, and will be source of incremental revenue growth. 2

Differentiation Zain provides its customers a month’s free subscription to the “Cloud Campus” to try the application and the courses. After the free subscription the customers can decide to stay or unsubscribe Zain has integrated the billing and registration of “Cloud Campus” service with the customer’s mobile number. Anyone including Zain’s customers in Kuwait can register for Cloud Campus either through SMS or by registering online. The subscriber will receive a monthly bill on his/her mobile number Cloud Campus leverages social media’s abilities to influence and educate in a formalized way. It adapts best international learning practices to address local needs. Cloud Campus offers e-learning both in English and Arabic. It provides learners with an innovative social online learning experience through interactive communication with the best faculty and support staff who are keen to provide all needed support and academic guidance.

Technical Overview Cloud Campus is a ground-breaking yet affordable social online learning program. Based on cloud services, it delivers e-learning services to all segments of society via personal accounts on Google+, LinkedIn and Facebook with a huge virtual online library of world-class interactive programs. Service Provider and Partners Zain is a leading telecommunications operator across the Middle East and North Africa providing mobile voice and data services to over 44.3million active customers as of 30 June, With a commercial presence in 8 countries, Zain operates in the following countries: Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and South Sudan. The service is introduced in collaboration with Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU) and Global Learning (GL). HBMeU is a first mover in e-learning in the Arab World, being the first accredited e-learning academic institution by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Global Learning has more 15 years’ experience in the Middle East offering expertise in social, online and mobile learning. GL plays a pivotal role in the design, implementation and operations of Cloud Campus. HBMeU has also partnered with other operators to deliver the service. 5

Service Details The courses offered on Cloud Campus are categorized into three main types, based on age group of the target audience. The first category targets adults, managers, employees, parents and university students wrapping over 150 online sittings on business skill areas like Leadership, Communication, Driving Operations, Entrepreneurship, Talent Management, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Global Business, Strategy, Self-Development and Innovation. The second category includes more than 600 online sessions based on Cambridge curriculum, offering English language courses for kids, teens, adults and business people. The third category targets school students from grade 4 to 12, and offers more than 1200 online sessions based on content taught in schools covering math, science, and IT related topics. Cloud Campus courses feature a Basic package and a Premium package. By subscribing to the Basic package, customers are entitled to 50 Business Skills lessons, 250 Language lessons, 450 School Content lessons, and academic support, all of which come at KD0.500 for a weekly subscription. The Premium package offers customers 150 Business Skills lessons, 600 Language lessons, 1200 School Content lessons, along with academic support and a certificate upon completion, all of which cost 1 Kuwaiti Dinar for a weekly subscription. Thus, Zain’s Cloud campus opens up a new revenue stream. 7
