3 Abstract Telecommunications have become today an essential part of our daily life and no one denies that. Telecommunication was like an imagination in the past, however, today it is the dream of tomorrow, it is the unknown that make our life easier than before.

4 Introduction The world today is like a small village or even a small room as we may say. That is because of the modern telecommunications in all the fields of life today. If we deny the importance of telecommunication, that will be far away from logic and reality. Telecommunication is very important part of our modern life.

5 What is telecommunications?
Telecommunication definition is so broad. It includes the transmission of information over significant distances to communicate OR The electronic transmission of signals for communications. There is always a sender and receiver. One person can act as a receiver or even multi persons. Telecommunication helps people to contact over long distances.

6 EXAMPLE For example when you phone your grandmother, you are using a form of telecommunication. The Internet, television and radio all are means of telecommunication. Telecommunication can exist on open networks in which anyone can have access on closed networks in which only certain people can send and receive data. These networks are made up of a collection of transmitters and receivers.

7 The History of Telecommunications
The history of communication started since the using of smoke signals and drums in Africa, the Americas and parts of Asia. These signs were used for more than just telling the appearance of a camp.

8 Society and Telecommunications
Telecommunication has a significant social, cultural and economic impact on modern society. In 2008, estimates placed the telecommunication industry's revenue at $3.85 trillion or just 3 percent of the gross world product. So there are many impacts of telecommunications on the society.

9 Economic Impacts Companies used telecommunications to construct an international business empire. In cities throughout the world, home owners use their telephones to order and arrange a variety of home services ranging from pizza deliveries to electricians. Even the poor communities have used telecommunication for their advantages.

10 Social Impact The role of telecommunication in social relationships was very significant and increasingly very important. In recent years, the popularity of social networking sites has increased dramatically. These sites allow users to communicate with each other as well as post photographs, events and profiles for others to see. The profiles can list a person's age, interests and relationship status.

11 The Role of Telecommunication in Our Life
Telecommunication plays an important role in our life today. Generally telecommunication is the transmission of signal over distance for purpose of sending information. By sharing information, human can get such development today. Information can be considered one of standard criteria to assess life quality of a man. Life quality is assessed according to the amount of information he get and means of approaching information.

12 The Social Disadvantages of Telecommunications
One of these is, isolating the values, in particularly when giving entertainment which does not restrict to values. Telecommunication media shows what the audience wants. This led to spread of violence and sex. Another disadvantage is satisfying the audience on the account of the value. Researches approved that telecommunication plays a negative role in the societies that rich in customs, traditions and social interaction.

13 Conclusion As mentioned in the introduction, this research paper concentrated – generally- on the influence of telecommunications in the society. The influence can be positive or negative. The aim was to show the importance of telecommunication, their role in the society and the impacts of telecommunication.
