A New Attitude 2017 …. 24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Eph. 4:24 (NASB)
2
A New Attitude 2017 Confucius said “You hear You forget, You see You remember, You do You understand”. You can’t grow spiritually by recycling what you already know. Put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Ephesians 4:24 NASB This is the year to take off the old stuff and put on a new attitude as we discipline ourselves to live a Spirit filled life. Discipline is training that develops order and efficiency

A New Attitude 2017 A spirit filled life requires action.....by Faith
To change your attitude you must change your mind. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ: Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. Philippians 2:5-7 (KJV). To be like Christ we must discipline ourselves to allow His Spirit within us to have control over our lives
4
A New Attitude 2017 Make a list of things you must do to grow spiritually.
5
A New Attitude 2017 Attitude is a little thing and makes a big difference How is our association with God influenced by our negative attitudes?
6
A New Attitude 2017 If we have a negative attitude we would not be prone to doing work for the Lord. Often we would become too engrossed with other things other than using our time spending it with God or doing the work of the Lord. If we became too distant in our thoughts and then in turn have a negative attitude, Satan would be ecstatic because of this, it would hinder our spiritual growth and the work of God.
7
A New Attitude 2017 Which one are you? The horse or the mule? Ps. 32:9-Do not be like the horse or the mule, without sense; (they will only act by force (bit) and constraint (bridle); be not like them; give a willing service to your Maker.)(BBE) The service of your God is a reasonable service; act, therefore, as a rational/reasonable being, do not oblige your Maker to have continual recourse to afflictions and trials, to keep you in the way, or to recover you after you have gone out of it.
8
A New Attitude 2017 Do you know of anyone who would want someone with an unhappy or bad attitude trying to teach others about God? I don't think anyone would, that I'm sure of. The sight of an mad or unhappy person wanting to teach others about the Lord is a picture that would not be welcomed anywhere.
9
A New Attitude 2017 What are the benefits of a positive attitude?
10
A New Attitude 2017 We will encounter difficult situations at times. Our perspective at any event that we encounter either helps us or hinders us. Positive attitudes will help overcome adversity. By having a positive attitude, we willingly will do God's work. With a positive attitude it assists us in being consistent and keeps us going to perform each small task and doing our best. If an unpleasant incident occurs, we need to stop and consider our blessings. A task at hand may be all you can do, or it may be the work God wants you to do. Do your best to have the right mind set when working. Do it unto to God not to impress men.
11
A New Attitude 2017 Are you countering a seemingly hopeless dilemma at work, at home, or at school. How do you cope? What are some Biblical examples describing to us how a person's positive attitude helped them?
12
A New Attitude 2017 Joseph suffered years of mistreatment, but continued to maintain a positive attitude.. The Lord turned Joseph's situation around. He will see your endeavors and can reverse even overpowering odds.
13
A New Attitude 2017 The children of Israel were belligerent and hopeless, but Moses assured them that God would rescue them. Moses had a positive attitude! When it seemed as if they were trapped, Moses called upon God to intercede. Instead of giving in to despair, we should borrow Moses' attitude to "stand firm“, pray and see the deliverance that the Lord will achieve.
14
A New Attitude 2017 People Our Watching:
Observation is being done when you are unaware. Someone is always watching you. Your example is so significant. Negative attitudes lead to wrong choices. So many times our attitudes and conduct are formed by the values and actions of others. Have you ever made an incorrect choice because you desired to be like everyone else? We need to be cautious that the standards of our friends or heroes don't pull us away from what God has said in His Word.
15
A New Attitude 2017 “Before you open your mouth, be sure that your brain is engaged." You may remember it now but so often, it is difficult to think of these things when situations occur. But, they show maturity in your thinking ability when they are used. Others will see you differently. “Much speaking and lying are cousins. To speak much is one thing, to speak well, another. “ German and Greek
16
A New Attitude 2017 Everything that you do is affected by the attitude that you possess. Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23 To be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Rom. 8:6) There is little difference in people... the little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative. Clement Stone
17
A New Attitude 2017 Your communication can either have a positive or a negative influence on you. Again, it will affect your career, your family life, your friends, your neighbors, all contacts that you have in life. It has a magnitude that is exceptionally important. In all of your relationships, your communication is noticed. Once you see this, you will realize the importance of good communication.
18
A New Attitude 2017 We can find in James 1: 26 "If a man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is in vain." A bridle is used to control a horse. The bridle has the purpose of controlling the horse. The horse's mouth holds a bit, or the bridle is held on the nosepiece. James is telling us that we need to control our tongue as a horse is controlled by a bridle. The Holy Spirit helps us, if we follow His leading.
