2 Future of Numbering WG DRAFT
Mission To explore changes to the environment, including new and future technologies, the impact of market place and/or regulatory changes and innovations on telephone numbering. Scope: The Working Group will investigate new telephone numbering assignment approaches and future telephone number assignment requirements. The Working Group will identify common criteria and gather data to identify trends and their impact upon numbering resources. The Working Group, if necessary, will analyze opportunities to determine the feasibility and benefit of each and report its findings to the NANC. The Working Group will also analyze various topics that may be given to it from time to time by the NANC and/or FCC.

3 Future of Numbering WG Carolee Hall, Idaho PUC and Dawn Lawrence, XO Communications have resigned their leadership roles of the FoN WG due to changes of responsibilities. Both Carolee and Dawn had many contributions to the FoN WG tri-chair positions and we thank them for everything they have done and wish them well in the future. Tri-Chair Nominations were accepted through February 28, 2017. Elections took place via March , 2017 Our new tri-chairs are Allyson Blevins from Charter Communications and Cullen Robbins from Nebraska. Congratulations and welcome to the FoN WG leadership. The FoN WG continues to receive updates from other industry forums to keep the members informed including those listed below. ATIS Testbed Activities ATIS INC LNPA WG ATIS/SIP Forum (NNI) FCC Wire Center Trial Updates remains on the agenda for updates when available. Nationwide10-digit Dialing continues to be on the open portion for future meetings.
