Which LAS Links forms are online? LAS Links English: Forms A, B, C, D (Forms C&D include academic strands); LAS Links Espanol: Forms A, B (Form B includes academic strands) Can you use iPads and Chromebooks? YES. Please refer to the LAS Links Online Minimum technical requirements. Is there a minimum of students that can be tested online? No, there is no minimum number of students. However, there is a minimum order of $2,280.00 What is the price per student for LAS Links Progress Monitoring Online? Please refer to the LAS Links Online Progress Monitoring Order Form for the student subscription price. Please Note: Student responses to the Speaking test, Writing test, and open-ended Reading items may be scored by local teachers or by DRC. Additional pricing applies for DRC scoring. How many LAS Links Online test administrations can be run with a student subscription purchase? The per student subscription price allows up to three (3) testing cycles. Are students required to take all 4 subtests during each monitoring/testing cycle? No. Students are assigned to each testing cycle based on districts’ determination / program goals. Are there any separate/additional set-up or implementation fees? No. There are no account set-up or software implementation fees. What is covered during the LAS Links Online staff training / professional development sessions? After the LAS Links Online professional development, staff will know how to use the LAS Links Digital Library, administer the LAS Links assessment domains Score student responses using the scoring rubrics (hands-on instruction) if locally scoring, understand types of scores provided by the assessment, interpret scores use test results effectively (to inform instruction, for accurate placement, etc.) What is the cost for the webinar and onsite training session? Please refer to the LAS Links Online Progress Monitoring Order Form. Are there any “on demand” training resources for LAS Links Online? Yes. On demand training resources (i.e. videos, PowerPoint presentations with notes, etc.) are available via the LAS Links Digital Library. This library is made available to LAS Links Online customers at no additional charge How is the Speaking Subtest administered? Students use a headset with microphone to provide their spoken responses. Once the test is complete, if locally scoring, the scorer logs into the software, listens to the captured responses, and rates the response using the scoring rubric. Are headsets with microphones needed for the Speaking subtest? Yes. A headset with a microphone is needed to take the Speaking Subtest. Does DRC provide the headsets with microphones? No, but DRC can provide headset recommendations upon request. Is there a limit to how many students can take the Speaking subtest at the same time? There are no restrictions to the number of students simultaneously testing online. Can we schedule online test sessions to include multiple grades levels and mixed subtests? LAS Links Online test sessions may be set-up by grade span (K, 1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12) and testing may be conducted at the same time with students at different grade levels, taking various subtests in one setting. Students receive their individual test ticket and once logged in, the test engine recognizes what Form, Grade, Language of the test the particular student is to take.
