10 Microsoft Dynamics NAV Software + Services
10/9/ :28 PM Microsoft Dynamics NAV Software + Services Partner hosted solutions through Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) Customer choice and experience Consistent user experience Choice in delivery deployment and payment options Easy deployment Dynamics ERP Software + Services The “Services” component comes in two flavors today: The “Software” component of S+S is our on-premise ERP solutions. Services hosted by Microsoft that enhance ERP (such as Payments and Commerce) Hosted solutions by Partners under SPLA Microsoft Dynamics S+S strategy is centered around offering customers CHOICE. One of our differentiators in the market is our ability to offer customers the choice of deploying on premise or hosting from the cloud, or perhaps doing both. The SPLA program allows customers to consume our ERP products from a hosted solution in a monthly payment relationship. It is the same product that they might decide to install on-premise under a perpetual license model. Larger organizations may choose both models to fit unique circumstances. Regardless, the user experience would be consistent. <click> Additionally, we are actively pursuing a strategy of delivering services that “attach” to the on-premise ERP products and enhance their capability. These services: Extend people’s reach – through connected business scenarios (e.g. providing access to a marketplace) Rapid innovation - help us accelerate the pace at which we can deliver innovation to customers Deliver dynamic content – things that change often such as Customer Source content, perhaps currency rates, etc. Microsoft Dynamics Online Services vision will transform the way people think about ERP. Microsoft’s relationship with our customers will be more active, rapidly delivering innovation to help them improve their operations. So - “How is Microsoft delivering Software as a Service?” Our investment roadmap for services is 100% aligned to our overall strategy reviewed earlier in this session. We will prioritize services that : Provide foundation solutions – utilities or financial applications - with broad appeal Drive adoption of our ERP solutions through enhancing the underlying industry capability Support connected solution development across services and categories, allowing developers to leverage the Azure Services Platform so that solutions built in Azure can leverage Dynamics Online services in order to deliver more complete capability to Dynamics ERP customers Are delivered with partners – We understand that services, like on-premise solutions, should have a custom development strategy and still must be configured to work for a customer’s unique requirements and we rely on the partner to accomplish that. Furthermore, when there is an explicit Microsoft revenue stream associated with a service, partners will have the opportunity to participate in that revenue. Most importantly, some Microsoft Dynamics Online Services are available today! Not only do we have a vision for the future, but we are already delivering. Unlike some competitors who have recently changed their strategy and grudgingly decided to plan for some services in the future, we have been delivering services for over two years. Some of these services started with the small business accounting space and have now been moved to our Dynamics business. We are in market today with a Payments service available for Microsoft Dynamics AX, POS, and RMS. We’re evaluating plans for these services to be extended to the rest of our Dynamics portfolio. We have a commerce service enabling multi-channel sales that will be in beta for Dynamics solutions in FY10. And we are announcing the Dynamics Connect service that allows people using Microsoft Dynamics to get valuable content from Customer Source, tailored for their role, delivered right to their desktop. Availability varies by product. <Click> These are High-value services that drive customers’ revenue and improve expertise. To learn more about this opportunity, let’s talk more with Michael Bolton from Keyora, whose company focus on web-enabled retail solutions for the Microsoft Dynamics products and is taking a bet on Microsoft Dynamics Online Services Dynamics Online Payments availability: Dynamics AX 2009 available today Dynamics RMS Dynamics POS 2009 available when it ships Dynamics NAV, Dynamics GP, Dynamics SL in planning Dynamics Online Commerce availability: In controlled Beta starting in December for Dynamics AX 2009 Dynamics Connect Availability: DO 2009 R2: AX 2009, NAV 2009, CRM Online/On-prem DO 2010 R2: AX6, SL8, NAV7 DO 2010 R1: GP11 Enhance on-premise ERP Connected business Rapid innovation Increase value of BREP On-premise ERP Partner-hosted ERP Available or under evaluation: Connect Commerce Payment Sites (Azure based) MICROSOFT CONFIDENTIAL © 2006 Microsoft Corporation.
