11. What does supervision look like for computer-based simulations?
Supervision must include a debrief
May be synchronous or asynchronous
Debrief may be counted as 25% supervision requirement
Debrief may be face to face discussion, self-reflection with feedback and/or written self-reflection with feedback
You do not have to watch the student complete a computer- based simulation

12. Implementing SimuCase for Hours
Supervisory component - supervisors should be available to answer students’ questions. Feedback that SimuCase provides during a case provides supervision
Students must receive a competency score of 90% or greater
Debrief (may not be included in hours)
May have student write a diagnostic report/SOAP note

13. Prebrief Review the technology
Provide students with the referral form for the case to begin planning
Let students know how many minutes a case is worth

15. Provide Feedback
Establish an opportunity for students to receive feedback as they attempt to complete a case.
Feedback may be given in groups or individually

16. Debrief

Start with the clinical debrief. Address clinical mistakes or other clinical issues the team brings up. Spend 5-10 minutes.
