3 This weeks challenge- What would be the hardest part of living in the Paleolithic Era? Draw a stone age house in 30 minutes with one thing you would not be able to live without. A comfy bed. Your phone. Or you Tv.

4 Early man’s changes There were not as many humans in the Paleolithic Era, than now. There were only about 1 million humans, but now here are about 7,000 times more people now. They were nomadic so they basically followed the animals. They communicated with clicks and sounds, but cave paintings could have been used to tell of an event.

5 This might be what a nomadic settlement looked like

6 Paleolithic Era Tools Sharp stone flakes were used to cut deerskin and other things. Stone cores were stone that you would skrap with. You would scrap the wood with it. Hammerstone was used for flattening surface.

7 How the Paleolithic humans got their food
The paleolithic people ate meat like fish. They also ate nuts, seeds, roots and fruits. They shared the food, in all of the eras. They all got enough for their daily duties. Men usually ate the most with women and children eating the least, this goes for every era in the stone age.

8 Examples of food they ate in the paleolithic
Fun fact- Meat actually wasn’t the main source of food, plants , berries, and seeds were!

9 The paleolithic era was cold and snowy
The paleolithic era was cold and snowy. They moved with herds of animals to survive. Also the Atlantic Ocean was made cooler by the Arctic Ocean and Antarctica. From time the North Sea began to rise substantially as the great sheets of ice melted. This is good because by the sheets of ice melting means there was more fish to catch so the people can eat, more water to drink, water crops and for animals. 15 How were early man changes in physical size during the Mesolithic era
The stone age people ate weeds and fruits to grow in size. When the stone age people grew in the Mesolithic era to the Neolithic era. It shows what we have today.

16 The evolution of man over the thousands of years

17 Mesolithic Era Arrow heads were used for hunting, but not fights because it seems they had a peaceful life. Spears were used to throw and catch things Scrapers were used to turn a row of hide into clothing, and tents.

18 Mesolithic Era Food The Mesolithic people ate fish, mussels, they also ate deer, wild boar, along with edible plants. They started to weave baskets and store berries, fruit and vegetables like roots. They also ate nuts. They also shared food the same way, as before, with men eating the most, women and children now eating just enough.

19 Examples of food people ate in the Mesolithic Era
They also ate deer and wild boar, but mostly depended on these foods

20 Yellow got the lead early
Yellow got the lead early. The blue team was working very hard on making this drawing perfect. Green team was suffering, but were trying so hard and got almost nowhere. Time for the results Winner Loser Thanks for Playing

21 Welcome to the Neolithic Era

22 Remaining Teams Blue and Yellow

23 This weeks challenge- Try to think of a meal from the Neolithic era with the food pictured down below, in 45 minutes! Vegetables and fruits Meats, and fish Grains Types of bread,( They didn’t look this good!)

24 In the Neolithic era they planted lots of crops
In the Neolithic era they planted lots of crops. The land was rich, it had wild grass and game. Also after the ice age ended the weather became a lot warmer.

25 Neolithic Era The stone age tools were often made by grinding and polishing, rather than by chipping flake. They were used for digging the ground and hunting animals. As time tools to sculpt create pottery painting. A key to the development of the Neolithic period is the harvesting and cultivation of plants as crops- particularly grain, which could be stored, ground to flour, and cooked. Chipping flake Painting polishing

26 What man looked like in the Neolithic Era
Man came from an ape, to a hairy figure to a human. Humans evolved into just a bit shy of what we are today. In the Neolithic Era they became more like what we are today.

28 Neolithic Era Food The Neolithic era was the evolution of agriculture. The Neolithic people began to farm and began to not rely on hunting as much as they did before. They began farming wheat, barley, lentils and flax. They still fished, because it seems like they had their own nutrition plate, which included meat, grain, vegetables and fruit, like berries.

29 Examples of Neolithic food

30 This time both are in need of help but blue team comes out strong
